Camp Good Days & Special Times is a 501 c 3 non-profit organization based in Rochester, NY, but has other cities or states that host an extension of the camp also. Their mission for 30 years is to offer a place of courage and hope, where families can get their mind off the everyday plights and trials that have touched their life. In addition, they can have fun and meet new friends, who can brighten their world just because they care about what the camper is enduring. According to Camp Good Days (2010), the motto is courage knows no bounds and campers can help their own courage grow while exploring their new surroundings at the camp.

We are collecting throw blankets of any type for adults and children, who are currently undergoing chemotherapy. Any amount of blankets would help us give hope to these courageous patients, who need support and encouragement. These warm blankets will remind the patient and families that they are not alone in their fight or journey with cancer.

In 2006, Amber Bowden’s beloved mother was diagnosed with Leukemia, which totally changed her life. Suddenly, she became her mother’s primary caregiver, while trying to work a full time job.
